Developed by Northway Games, I Was A Teenage Exocolonist will ask you to spend your teenage years on an alien planet in this narrative RPG with card-based battles. Explore, grow up, and fall in love. The choices you make and skills you master over ten years will determine the course of your life and the survival of your colony.

I Was A Teenage Exocolonist Features are: 

  • Use memories of past lives to explore 800+ story events.

  • Discover more than 250 battle cards as you grow up on an alien planet.

  • Play your best hand in challenge encounters to ace your math test or escape from a wild snapbladder.

  • Make friends, fight with your parents, go on dates, fall in love, and save the colony.

  • 29 wildly different endings based on the choices you make each month.

  • Pick from 25 colony jobs, like goofing off as a depot clerk, or surveying the valley.

  • Grow into 15 skills, including bravery, toughness, organization, and empathy.

  • Get to know 10 dateable characters, including dog-boys, aliens, hot politicians and stone cold killers.

About FINJI

FINJI is a mom-and-pop game studio founded by Adam and Rebekah Saltsman in 2006. FINJI is currently publishing Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Tunic and I Was A Teenage Exocolonist, has in the past published Night in the Woods, and recently launched their turn-based survival game Overland. About the Exocolonist Team 

  • Sarah Northway (she/her): Game Design and Direction- Sarah has been making games since the early days of Flash, including the Rebuild and Fantastic Contraption series. She now runs Northway Games from beautiful Vancouver, Canada.

  • Meilee Chao (they/them): Character Art, Sprites, and Animation- Mei is a nonbinary illustrator and character artist from South Carolina.Their first major indie project, Exocolonist features a range of faces and impractical fashion that Mei hopes to inject into their own projects. Mei is often immersed in playing narrative and puzzle games or making baby steps on their own developments. 

  • Lindsay Ishihiro (any/none): Writing and Creature Sprites- Lindsay is a writer and comic artist, and the creator of comics Motherlover and How Baby. Lindsay enjoys playing building and management games and making fictional characters kiss.

  • Eduardo Vargas (he/him): Background illustrations and sprites- Ed grew up in a small town in Costa Rica and studied graphic design in college. He eventually flew to LA and studied to become a concept artist.  Now after many coincidences and strokes of luck, he’s a visual development artist working for animation and games and enjoying every second of it.

Em Halberstadt (A Shell in The Pit).
