Busan, Korea – Stoic Entertainment successfully showcased their latest VR game, “World War Toons: Tank Arena VR” at G-Star, the largest game show event in Korea) from November 17th to 20th.
A fast-paced VR battle with historical tanks, World War Toons: Tank Arena VR enables gamers to sit inside 6 different tank cockpits, each with unique firing mechanisms, ammo and skills.
The game is set to launch for Meta Quest 2 in early December, and gained much interest from both Korean and global gamers alike at the booth. The on-site PvP tournament also received much interest, with global gamers participating in fast action-packed battles. Visitors were also able to play the game while riding on the specially built Sherman and Tiger tank models as they put on their VR headsets.
Yoonhwa CHOI, the CEO of Stoic expressed gratitude for all the attention and love the game received at G-Star, as well as in other previous game shows. “We were excited that our game was highly praised back in August at Gamescom in Germany, but the user participation and interest we received at G-Star was simply astounding.” Said Choi. “The on-site tournament was so fun, we’re planning to upload the video on social media so more people can get a feel about what the gameplay is like.”
Stoic’s booth was also visited by many military model enthusiasts, as they exhibited 20+ tank figures on a diorama of one of the battlefield maps.
“We wanted people to have fun”, said Choi, mentioning that the company also hired professional model creators to make the entire booth into a snapshot of the in-game battles. “We wanted to show that we’re also crazy about tanks!”
World War Toons: Tank Arena VR will have 6 unique tanks available at launch, with many more tanks coming in the following months.
