Tour de France 2025: Refuelling Mechanism Overhaul

Lesquin, 18 April 2025 – The cycling simulation Tour de France 2025, developed by Cyanide Studio, features an overhaul of its refuelling system. Simple to use, this functionality relies on 2 types of consumables: EnerGel and TurboGel.

Stamina management is an essential component in cycling events, and studio Cyanide has revamped the system to better reflect its strategic aspect. The EnerGel is a consumable that boosts stamina (blue gauge) and attack (red gauge).

The cyclist we embody can put himself in an attack situation, which greatly increases his racing speed. This leads to a quick consumption of the red gauge, and once empty, it is no longer possible to attack. TurboGel is a consumable which suspends the depletion of the red gauge. However, this decisive tool is subject to certain conditions: it needs to be consumed for several seconds to maximize its duration, the attack must be performed immediately after its consumption, and it can only be used in a single shot, only after the last supply zone.
