Super Fantasy Kingdom hits major milestones on the road to launch

The fantasy roguelite city builder is building momentum ahead of its early access debut

May 29, 2025 - Hooded Horse is proud to share that Super Fantasy Games’ upcoming roguelite city builder Super Fantasy Kingdom is poised for a successful early access launch later this year as it crosses the 300,000 wishlist threshold as well as becoming one of the top 100 most wishlisted games on Steam.

Super Fantasy Kingdom challenges players to rebuild their fallen kingdoms as either the human or undead factions, exploring a vibrant fantasy world and fighting off waves of invaders. Defeat is inevitable, but a robust roguelite meta-loop will keep people coming back run after run with new unlocks, perks, and heroes.

The original prototype, which was thrown together in less than a few weeks, earned the game over 85,000 wishlists in the three months after it was announced in the summer of 2023. The game also enjoyed a successful Next Fest run in June 2024, and continues to improve with new content and features – check out details regarding the item system that’s being worked on.

Super Fantasy Kingdom will be coming to early access on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store in Q3 2025. A press kit is available.
