Starsand Island Launches Kickstarter to Build the Cozy Island-Life of Your Dreams

29th April 2025— Following a warm reception at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, Seed Lab is excited to announce the launch of the Starsand Island Kickstarter campaign, inviting players to help bring the ultimate cozy island-life sim to life.

Launching today, the campaign offers fans the chance to support development, unlock ambitious stretch goals, and secure a range of heartfelt, exclusive rewards. Backers can claim everything from early access, exclusive in-game items, and physical artbooks to once-in-a-lifetime opportunities like designing an NPC, spending a day with the developers, or even naming a brand-new island.

In Starsand Island, players return to their childhood island to embark on a personal journey of healing, farming, fishing, raising animals, and forming bonds with quirky local characters. With extensive DIY building and customization, players can truly shape their dream getaway — and even invite friends to help craft their paradise together.

Supporters of the Kickstarter can look forward to a wide range of rewards. Early backers at the $20 tier will receive a heartfelt thank-you from the developers, exclusive wallpapers, and a Steam key. At higher tiers, fans can gain early Alpha access, have their names included in the credits, and enjoy a digital soundtrack. Additional rewards include a beautifully crafted digital artbook, unique in-game items like an exclusive pet, custom skateboard and weapon skins, and a charming furniture blueprint to decorate their island homes. At premium levels, backers can secure exclusive character outfits, a custom in-game book design, the chance to become a fully realized in-game NPC, or even collaborate directly with the developers to name a brand-new Outer Island.
