After ditching the battle royale focused mode three months ago, the Funktronic Labs team has pivoted the game to a MMO-lite where players can team up and quest with friends in a Zelda-inspired world.
August 13th, 2026 – Funktronic Labs is announcing today that Scramble Knights Online is available to play in an open beta test live now on Steam!
After three years of development, the team decided to scrap the Battle Royale focus entirely and rework the game into a MMO-lite which will focus on co-op adventures in a shared online world.
Scramble Knights Online players will encounter other knights while questing in the world and can form new friendships in the bustling Town Square. The game will feature challenging PvE encounters, charming quests, character building, long-term progression with weapon and armor crafting, and Dark Souls styled PvP invasions.
