ALMATY, Kazakhstan — 27 August 2026 — Pushup RPG: Fitness Quest, an independently developed mobile fitness game released on 25 June 2026, is available free on iOS and Android. Instead of tapping an attack button, players prop up their phone and complete push-ups or squats. On-device pose detection counts the movement, and each completed battle rep becomes an attack against the monster on screen.
THE BODY BECOMES THE CONTROLLER
Pushup RPG is designed around a simple loop: physical effort creates immediate game progress. The camera performs the counting during push-up and squat battles, so players do not need to enter each rep manually or use a wearable.
The campaign contains 48 foes across eight fantasy biomes. Victories award XP and loot that develop the player's hero. Daily quests and streaks support repeat play, while sit-ups and timed planks are available as solo training modes.
Players can also join guilds, contribute to shared weekly boss races, climb separate push-up and squat leaderboards, and challenge friends in optional live 40-second rep duels.
“I wanted each repetition to feel like progress, not something recorded after the hard part was over,” said Yerasyl Amanbek, independent developer of Pushup RPG. “The larger ambition is to help double the number of push-ups people choose to do worldwide by making the next rep part of an adventure.”
CAMERA COUNTING WITH A CLEAR PRIVACY BOUNDARY
Rep counting runs on-device. Camera video and pose landmarks are not sent to Pushup RPG's servers for rep counting. Optional clip recording is off by default; clips remain local until the player chooses to share them.
