New executive appointments strengthen stillalive studios

– PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION –

Innsbruck, April 19th, 2021 - stillalive studios is pleased to announce the appointment of two new senior staff members to the studio’s management, bringing new depth and experience to our senior management team and helping to secure the future growth of the company.

Hendrik Lesser will be joining us as our Chair, whilst Christian Kleissl will be taking the position of our finance director. Both of these experienced executives are part of the leadership of Remote Control Productions, the Munich-based development collective, which has been stillalive’s strategic partner since our founding in 2013.

The appointments will further strengthen the bonds between stillalive and RCP, putting both companies in a better position to expand their businesses and craft even better and more successful games, whilst retaining the creative independence which powers stillalive's vision.

“We believe that our partners are stronger when working in concert together. RCP operates like a jazz band, each member playing their part with the goal of creating incredible things. Stillalive is one of our closest partners in this endeavor and these appointments don’t make them any less independent - Chris and I will use our extensive experience to help them continue the incredible trajectory they have established in the last eight years”, commented Hendrik Lesser.

“RCP has been a part of our studio since day one,” said stillalive CEO Julian Mautner. “To add their experience to our operative level brings us even closer as strategic partners and gives us even better tools to flourish as an independent studio.”

The founder and CEO of RCP, Hendrik Lesser, is a lifelong fan of games and nerd culture - still making time to play regularly today.

An active figure in the movement to bring the games industry’s interests to the political agenda, he’s also the president of the European Games Developer’s Federation, a pan-European trade organization that represents the needs of both the industry and its audience to the highest levels of government in the EU and beyond. Lesser holds a number of other positions, including the chair production at S4G - an educational organization, which offers guidance, resources, and direct teaching to prepare young people for the games industry, and is a founder of Germany’s largest game-focused cultural club: Videospielkultur Verein.
Hendrik is available for interviews on topics around any of these interests, organizations, or pastimes, as well as his core responsibilities at RCP.

Having served as RCP’s finance director since 2012, Christian Kleissl has been involved in projects with stillalive since their foundation. Today he serves as a CFO to RCP and supports the group’s studios with 19 years of experience in diverse financial roles, driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
