Market Is Fine adds 1-4 player online co-op today

Market Is Fine, the supermarket sim where the morning news sets your prices, adds 1-4 player online co-op in its biggest update yet

A solo developer from Türkiye brings a secret embezzler mode, a rival chain's raid and a casino across the street to the darkly funny Early Access store sim

Türkiye, 15 October 2026. Vortexon Studios today released a major free update for Market Is Fine, its store sim in Early Access on Steam for Windows PC since April 2026.

Market Is Fine is a store-management sim built around the news. Every morning MIF NEWS goes live: a strike, a scandal, a "doctors are worried" segment, and the wholesale price, shelf price and demand of the products in the story change on the spot. From day four some of the stories are fake, and stocking up on the wrong rumour can sink the store. Between broadcasts there are shelves to stock, a 3D till to run, a credit book, bank loans, bills and shoplifters.

The update lets up to four friends run one store together online. They share one till, get paid into personal wallets and talk through proximity voice chat. On news days one of them may secretly be the embezzler, skimming the till, pocketing the courier's cash and cutting the power, until everyone votes at closing time. Co-op rooms also meet MEGAFINE, a rival chain whose letters under the door end in a standoff at the entrance; if it turns into a fight, the evening news airs the slow-motion replay. Solo play is fully supported.

The game stays in Early Access while player feedback on the new co-op modes shapes the 1.0 release.

New in this update

- Online co-op for 1-4 players through Steam invites, with a clerk designer and proximity voice chat
- Zimmet: a secret embezzler mode with a security log and a closing-time vote
- The MEGAFINE raid: letters, a standoff at the door, a vote, and a news replay of the fight
- Bailout Casino across the street: slots, roulette, blackjack, scratch cards and a Fact Check Desk where you bet on whether today's story gets debunked
- A new walkable city: courier orders carried to real doors (watch out for bag snatchers), a bike you can buy, ride and lose to thieves, and a black-marketeer's truck in the back alley every morning
- MIF NEWS from a live 3D studio with field footage for each story
- A new torn-cardboard interface, cartoon customers with their own walks, a rebalanced economy, DLSS and FSR 1
