The update includes additional content such as the new role for Mello, Premium Customization Pack Vol. 3 and more to expand players’ gameplay experience. As the first-ever game based on the globally popular anime series, DEATH NOTE Killer Within captures the series’ mystical premise, where a notebook’s power can bring death to anyone whose name is written in it, reimagining the premise as a thrilling 10-player social deduction game. In this new role, Mello will do whatever it takes to eliminate Kira. Players can eliminate suspicious players without the Death Note within their range, causing Mello’s victims to die from what appears to be a heart attack or shot, with their actions disguised as Kira’s judgment. Since Mello belongs to neither Team Kira nor Team L, players must win by eliminating Kira before Kira judges L or L arrests Kira. The new role for Mello adds an exciting element to the game, where if Mello arrests Kira or a Kira follower, the Death Note and IDs won't be seized.
DEATH NOTE Killer Within is an online social deduction game where players must determine who they can trust. In the game, players can assume one of four roles - Kira, Kira Follower, L, or Investigator - each offering unique gameplay characteristics. In each assigned role, players can develop a wide range of strategies, as randomized scenarios evolve into high-stakes gameplay. They must then uncover each other's identities to eliminate L or seize the Death Note from Kira. The game features cross-play for up to 10 players across platforms and offers robust customization options. Engage in a game of wits as both sides vie for the hidden Death Note, leading to a thrilling showdown of truth and deception until one team prevails.
