Roanoke, VA (October 26, 2026) - Indie developer Jade Meadows has set her debut title Blue Ridge Hunting - a co-op horror game about hunting cryptids in the Appalachian Mountains to release into Steam Early Access today at 1 PM EDT.

About Blue Ridge Hunting:
The Appalachian Mountains have long been home to some of the most infamous cryptids, creatures, and folklore in America. In Blue Ridge Hunting, you'll team up with your friends to investigate, document, and hunt down these monsters. Explore large, open levels directly based on real-world locations, and come face-to-face with some of Appalachia's most feared beasts.
Step into the boots of the Appalachian Investigation Group, a team dedicated to tracking these elusive creatures. Using a range of tools and equipment, gather evidence, follow clues, and embark on high-stakes hunts based on real sightings in real locations. Utilize proximity voice chat and an aging radio for communication, but be wary–your friends aren’t the only creatures in these woods that can hear you…
Income from successful hunts can be invested in new equipment and upgrades at Jude’s Cabin (your HQ) to take on progressively more challenging hunts across Appalachia. Players can purchase various tools to collect evidence and track down their target.
Jade & Company Games have also announced a Content Roadmap spanning the rest of the year, and stretching into Q1 of 2027. Among the planned updates are Bounties. Bounty Stars will allow you to upgrade Jude’s Cabin, turning the meager building into a true headquarters for the AIG. Players will be able to customize and specialize to their heart’s content, with anything from barnstars to hanging license plates to the discs playing on the jukebox. Also promised are four new cryptids, three new maps, and various new items and upgrades.
