TOKYO — Oct. 16, 2026 | Shochiku Co., Ltd.’s Game Division (Shochiku Games) announced today it plans to partner with developer DEVBEEF to publish the developers upcoming story-based sandbox adventure Dr. Finklestein’s Marvelous Room launching on PC in 2027.
“When I first played the demo for *Dr. Finklestein's Marvelous Room*, I sensed tremendous potential in its originality and creativity. Since our core business is the film industry, I also felt that the cinematic presentation was a good fit for us. I hope this project will be a success and that the IP will expand significantly, including through transmedia initiatives.,” said Hiroaki Ishige, Head of Shochiku Games.

In celebration of this announcement an all-new trailer was released that premiered earlier today at The MIX Fall Showcase. The trailer highlights the madcap experimental adventure that players will face as they enter Dr. Finklestein’s Marvelous Room on the quest to save the world.
