May 1st, 2025 – Indie game publisher PerfectGen surprises players with a double demo drop, showcasing two wildly different but equally ambitious titles now available for free on Steam.
Today, PerfectGen is excited to announce the release of two playable demos for its upcoming indie titles: the mystical action-adventure You Alone Can Defeat Evil and the sci-fi RPG bullet hell Starium. Both demos are available now on Steam, giving players a first taste of two unique worlds—one of ancient sorcery and the other of cosmic chaos.
You Alone Can Defeat Evil-developed By (Edward Marchioni)
Step into the robes of a rogue sorcerer and uncover the truth behind the catastrophic summoning of the Great Demon. In this 2D top-down action-adventure, players explore the eerie ruins of the Shrine of the Cosmos, confront twisted enemies, and unlock magical tattoos by collecting the demon’s blood. Each tattoo is tied to a fallen figure in the Order of Eskilon, unlocking new powers and lore chapters narrated by the mysterious Keeper, Deikaus.

Enter a massive, alien-infested universe in Starium, a sci-fi open-world RPG blending intense bullet hell combat with meaningful narrative choices. Players will pilot their way through hostile planet, upgrade their gear, and shape their fate through interactive dialogue with strange alien races and AI factions. With fast-paced pixel art action and rich exploration, Starium delivers a blend of adrenaline and story in equal parts.
