PAINTING NARRATIVE EXPLORATION GAME ÉTÉ LAUNCHES ON STEAM EARLY NEXT YEAR

Experience Montreal as a piece of art in this studio’s debut game

MONTREAL, JUNE 8, 2023 -  Impossible is thrilled to announce as part of Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition 2023 that their debut game Été is coming to Steam in early 2024.

In Été, you visit Montreal in the summer as a budding painter. Impossible recreates Montreal as a 3D canvas for you to paint and roam. Uncover the everyday wonders of the city with watercolour as you explore its neighbourhoods, make friends within the local art community, and create your own unique artwork inspired by your expeditions.

“We’re excited to finally share our lovingly crafted depiction of our hometown with the rest of the world,” said Lazlo Bonin, creative director of Été. “We look forward to players exploring and painting to their heart’s content in this whimsical summer fantasy!”

About Été
Été [pronounced ay·tay] (French for "summer") is a relaxing painting game that mixes exploration, creativity and story elements. Step into the shoes of a budding painter who travels abroad to Montreal for a summer. Unleash colour with your paintbrush to explore a city and capture its everyday wonders on canvas. Befriend fellow artists and bring together the local artistic community under the roof of your very own studio.

Été is the debut title from Impossible, a small indie studio based in Montreal, Québec, Canada.

Features:
  • Painting: Use gorgeous watercolour to paint the world in 3D and reveal its wonders.
  • Exploration: Roam freely in Montreal neighbourhoods and unlock more as you progress.
  • Story: Befriend fellow artists and help them in a storyline fully voice-acted in Quebec French.
  • Album: Collect stamps for your album by painting new things on your expeditions.
  • Canvas: Create artworks with total freedom by assembling stamp compositions on canvas
  • Commissions: Fulfill puzzling artwork commissions requested by locals in the city.
  • Relaxing: No violence, no failure, no pressure; enjoy Été at your own pace!
