There are plenty of co-op games that test your teamwork. WASD: The Adventure of Tori asks a much simpler question: what happens when nobody is allowed to control the whole character?
 

Launched on Steam for PC on October 2, 2025, EVNA's multiplayer puzzle game stripped movement back to its absolute basics. The W, A, S, or D movement keys are assigned according to the number of players. For 2 players, 2 of the 4 keys are assigned to each player, and for 4 players, 1 of the 4 keys is distributed to each player to play. That's it. Want to turn left? Hope your friend holding either of the keys is paying attention. Need to stop? You can not. Trying not to hit a wall? Good luck.
 

It sounds simple. It is not.
 

Every stage is built around a deceptively straightforward idea that quickly spirals into frantic discussions, split-second decision-making, and spectacular failures. One player hesitates, another presses too early, someone panics - and the entire team is suddenly back at the checkpoint wondering whose fault it really was. 
 

Unlike traditional co-op games where every player has full control, WASD: The Adventure of Tori forces the entire team to think as a single player.
 

Once movement begins, there is no stopping. Players can only influence the character by pressing their assigned direction at exactly the right moment. Miss the timing by a fraction of a second and what looked like a clean run becomes another instant defeat.
 

Walls are just as deadly as traps. Narrow corridors become tense coordination tests. Timed obstacles require perfect communication. Every new stage introduces another mechanic designed to expose even the smallest breakdown in teamwork.

The result is a game that is easy to understand within seconds but takes far longer to master.

The real challenge is not learning the mechanics - it is learning your teammates.

Some groups will carefully count down every move. Others will immediately descend into complete chaos, shouting directions over one another before inevitably blaming whoever happened to be controlling S that round.

Those unpredictable moments are exactly what make each session memorable. Failed attempts quickly become inside jokes, while finally clearing a difficult stage after dozens of retries feels like a genuine team achievement.

Built-in voice chat keeps everyone connected, though the developers recommend using Discord or Zoom for the smoothest communication during longer sessions.

Every level is designed to encourage experimentation. New hazards, moving platforms, environmental puzzles, and timing challenges continually reshape the way teams communicate. Just when players think they have mastered the game's rhythm, another mechanic arrives to force them back to the drawing board.

It's the kind of game where a failed attempt rarely feels frustrating for long. Instead, it usually ends with laughter, someone insisting they "definitely pressed the key," and another immediate restart.
