Oasiz Raises $2.5M Seed Round to Launch Social Platform for Viral Playable Content

With 5,000+ games already built in beta, Oasiz combines the viral momentum of TikTok with the creative depth of Roblox

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – October 8, 2025 – Oasiz, a social creation platform built for instant interactive experiences, today announced it has raised $2.5 million in seed funding. The round was led by a16z Speedrun and The Venture Reality Fund, with participation from leading industry executives Tabish Ahmed and Mike Abbott.

Oasiz is pioneering what it calls “playable content”—a new category where AI-powered tools enable users to generate games in seconds and share with the same speed and cultural resonance as memes or short videos. Unlike traditional game platforms, Oasiz is designed for viral discovery: creators can layer in the subtle cues, humor, and authenticity that fuel TikTok’s cultural waves, but now in the form of games.

In its closed beta, users have already built more than 5,000 playable experiences, early evidence of strong demand in a space that blends gaming, social media, and next-generation creation tools. Built as a web-based canvas, Oasiz lets friends generate and remix multiplayer games in seconds, then share them instantly via a TikTok-style feed.

“Every major social platform has been built on a new kind of media; first text, then photos, then video,” said Abel Dagne, co-founder and CEO of Oasiz. “We believe the next wave will be interactive. Oasiz gives creators the power to turn ideas into playable moments that spread just as quickly as memes or videos do today.”

Marco DeMiroz, co-founder and General Partner of The Venture Reality Fund, said: “Oasiz represents a breakthrough in how people will engage with interactive content. By making game creation as fast and intuitive as posting a meme, the team is opening the door to a new wave of social creativity. We believe ‘playable content’ has the potential to become a defining media category for the next generation.”

Josh Lu, GM and partner, a16z Speedrun, said: "Oasiz is building the beginnings of a next-generation social platform centered around a new verb - Play. Additionally, the team shares our strong belief that the act of playable content creation with friends is as important as the content itself. We are thrilled to support Abel and Jonathan in their quest to bring billions of people together via the act of collaborative creation."

The company is preparing for a series of public launches and themed community game jams. With the funding, Oasiz will accelerate product development, scale its creator community, and build partnerships with developers, creators, and cultural brands ahead of its public launch later this year.
