May 19, 2024 — Indie developer Last Minute Studios announced the release date of Mystopia, the relaxing creative sandbox game, as May 27. The announcement includes a brand-new trailer showcasing a new, goal-oriented game mode with 2–3 hours of gameplay, along with updates to the endless modes and improved visuals.

What is Mystopia?
Mystopia is a relaxing creative sandbox game where you build unique little worlds by fulfilling the wishes of charming creatures. Discover hundreds of blocks, brew magical potions with unique effects and maximize the happiness of your creatures to spread love throughout your worlds! Play in three different game modes: Saga Mode, Normal Mode and Creative Mode.

Saga Mode
We’re thrilled to introduce Saga Mode—a brand-new main game mode with over 2 hours of story-driven gameplay and a satisfying win condition!
In Saga Mode, you build worlds by fulfilling the wishes of charming creatures called Monis. They’ll hand you blocks, but they have picky preferences—sometimes they want things closer, sometimes farther apart, and sometimes certain blocks just can’t be neighbors. Satisfy their wishes to unlock new blocks and meet more Monis over time. Make all the Monis happy to win the game!
New Visuals & Normal Mode
First things first: we've completely revamped the visuals! Envelopes are now a thing of the past. Now, you’ll capture souls with your Lantern to fulfill their wishes—and that's how you'll collect blocks! If you’re new to Normal Mode:
In Normal Mode, you collect different kinds of blocks by capturing souls in your Lantern to fulfil their wishes. Mix three items you find in the Cauldron to craft potions with magical effects, such as miniaturizing or turning blocks golden. As you build your worlds, you’ll discover special blocks with unique effects, such as The Pentagram Shop, expanding your creative possibilities in this chill, endless adventure!
Creative Mode
We’ve also polished our Creative Mode visuals.
In Creative Mode, you can build without limits or objectives. Combine blocks, experiment with cozy designs, and shape your world at your own pace. Create unique islands and worlds that inspire creativity and provide a peaceful, stress-free building experience.
