Munich, Germany –June 22, 2022– Indie development studio MobiusCode (former Moebiusgames) will be making the lives of the cute alien Pammies even harder in its crisis management PC game “Panic Mode”. The latest update features getting Pammies killed by smoke, water, ice and explosions. As a crisis manager, you use the company's latest contraptions to ensure that the valuable workforce of Pamperümpel Industries is not wiped out completely. New levels in different locations (e.g. the Morale Locale) and a multitude of objectives like “Burn the back office for tax purposes” will keep you busy. Watch out for the new content being released on June 22 via Steam.

The idea for Panic Mode was initially conceived when project lead Florian Frankenberger visited a concert in an all wooden hall. “I asked myself what would happen if fire broke out now - and why the hell would anyone build a concert hall entirely out of wood?” This kind of logic is now the backbone of the Pammy civilization. Instead of taking preventive architectural caution like say, fire escapes, you as the safety inspector intern should crisis-proof all corporate properties to prevent chaos among the pammies, however the corporate provided tools are often comprised of dangerous materials themselves (e.g. like the overly-destructive Bomberator).

Panic Mode takes themes of consumerism and environmental pollution and wraps in a cutesy and somewhat nostalgic aesthetic. Overbearing supervisors, reckless disregard for hazardous materials, and absolutely wasteful production processes permeate the bleak earth-like planet’s workplace culture “Pammies are somewhat like us - hopefully the players will be able to help them take care of the consequences of their actions

In each location in Panic Mode, an accident is bound to happen. First, set up your disaster-prevention equipment in the corporate workspaces. Run drills to test out your safety protocols to ensure the survival of the employees - don’t worry though, you don’t need to save them all.

The new update includes:

  • 8+ crisis management tools

  • 15 properties in need of crisis-proofing (aka "levels")

  • 5 elements and hazards: fire, smoke, water, ice and of course explosions!

  • Empathetic and communicative company instructions
