Laura Bailey and Matthew Mercer to Host the Future Games Show Summer Showcase

Future Games Show and FGS Live From Los Angeles both return on Saturday, June 7

The Future Games Show is delighted to reveal that actors Laura Bailey (Abby Anderson, The Last of Us Part II) and Matthew Mercer (Vincent Valentine, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth) will be hosting this year’s Future Games Show Summer Showcase at 1pm PT, 4pm ET, 9pm BST, 10pm CEST on Saturday, June 7 2025. The show will be broadcast during the summer showcase season on TwitchYouTubeXFacebookTikTokGamesRadar, BiliBili and more. 

Laura Bailey - award-winning actor best known for playing Abby Anderson in The Last of Us Part II and Mary-Jane Watson in Marvel’s Spider-Man - said: “I’m delighted to confirm I’ll be returning to present the Future Games Show for the second time. I’m really looking forward to sharing the stage with my good friend and Critical Role co-star Matthew Mercer. We’ll have a great mix of indie games and blockbuster titles to help you discover something new.”

Matthew Mercer - Critical Role’s Dungeon Master, Ganondorf in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 6 - said: “I’m thrilled to reveal I will be hosting the Future Games Show this summer. Laura tells me I’m going to have a blast! Make sure to mark your calendars, because it’s going to be a stacked presentation full of world premieres, game demo drops and insightful developer interviews. See you in June!”

The Future Games Show Summer Showcase will highlight some of the most exciting games on the horizon, bringing viewers world premieres, exclusive game demos, developer interviews and new trailers from upcoming AAA and indie studios. Featuring more than 40 games including a new trailer for Supermassive Games’ Directive 8020, an interview with Mafia: The Old Country developer, Hangar 13 and a new trailer for Crisol: Theater of Idols from Blumhouse Games.

In addition, FGS Live From Los Angeles returns for its third show this year. Airing straight after the Summer Showcase, FGS Live From will be hosted by the channels own Jules and Amy and will feature more exclusive trailers, news and interviews from the summer showcase season.
