DESCRIPTION
Hellrule is a 2D auto-runner action platformer videogame with a horror setting.
It is an auto-runner in terms of mechanics, a game where the hero is running by default.
However, it is not an endless one; instead, it contains a set of carefully designed levels, each of which has a differentiated personality and proposes a different challenge.
It's a mix of nostalgia and modernness. As such, it draws some inspiration from the old Castlevanias, Ghosts and Goblins, etc.
However, on top of that it adds some modern features, such as 3D-like graphics with lighting effects. Anyway, for the nostalgics of the 8-bit era, there's a retro mode than can be enabled for a pixelated, lo-fi experience.
Its main point is providing simple fun, without the hassle of IAP, pay to win, etc. (not even ads); it's just a game you can play at any time.
Part of its sound track is composed and performed by El Reno Renardo, a Spanish freak metal band.

The first chapter (4 levels + boss) is already available:

Chapters II and III will get included in future updates, under the same phisolophy; namely, no ads, for free and with neither forced payments nor pay-to-win features.
There are even plans for a additional releasing stage, for PC (Linux and Windows) and, potentially, Nintendo Switch.
DEVELOPER
Hellrule is developed by Pedrocorp, a brand name for a single developer: Pedro J. Estébanez.
The game is powered by the Godot game engine.
