By unlocking the full experience, players gain access to 95 tracks in 41 cities, a set of 10 Cups, more than 20 unlockable cars and an expanded selection of tracks on the Weekly Challenges.
A HISTORIC MILESTONE
When AQUIRIS released Horizon Chase in 2015, we wanted to recreate the classic feeling of the arcade racing games our team grew up playing. The experience had to have a modern look and feel, with a fast and responsive gameplay well adapted to touchscreens.

When we were developing it, there was a strong confidence about the high quality of the game, whose creation steps were documented on our Tumblr. 5 years later, the reception it received continues to amaze us. With more than 50 million downloads so far, Horizon Chase became a reference point for racing games on mobile platforms,  featuring in renowned press outlets such as Touch Arcade and Pocket Gamer and counting more than 800 press appearances so far.

A YEAR FULL OF UPDATES

In 2020, Horizon Chase continued to evolve and received new updates in gratitude to our dedicated players. In April the game got a complete interface redesign giving it a modern look and feel. We’ve also added an expanded free to try experience with 30 tracks, 6 unlockable cars and new Weekly Challenges that offer players ways to expand their car skins collections.

In May, we travelled to Porto Alegre with the Devs Hometown Update, which included two new tracks in the Brazilian Cup, a new car — Minuano — and a new music track. In an unprecedented collaboration between Barry Leitch and Kleiton & Kledir, a special version of “Deu Pra Ti” topped off the update.

For the near future, Horizon Chase is preparing a new in-game store that will offer additional cosmetic items to enrich the player’s racing experiences. Our team is also at work on our biggest DLC update yet, about which we will be able to share more information soon.

PRESS ACCOLADES

"Horizon Chase is not just a fun racing game, it’s also a template for how other developers need to do retro-inspired games. It’s not about making a game exactly as it was, it’s about finding a way to recreate the feeling of the old games, while mixing in relevant parts of the advances in modern gaming. Aquiris did that in such a great way, that they made a game that feels great regardless of whatever it’s trying to crib from old-school games. Buy this game." - Touch Arcade

“It's a retro arcade racer through and through, albeit one that's thoroughly modern. The graphics are stunning, and the different weather effects and track-types you'll race on have to be seen in motion. It's just such a joy to speed through the different environments, and play sessions quickly shift from minutes to hours.” - Pocket Gamer

“Horizon Chase is one of my favorite games of the year so far. The graphics are artistic and magnificent, the music is a quirky blast from the past, and the controls are easy enough for anyone to pick up. The gameplay is challenging, there is a ton of content for the price, and replay value is high. Seriously, there is nothing I don’t like about this game, and I’ve had a hard time putting it down since I bought it last night.” - App Advice

Horizon Chase is a modern take on the 90s old-school racers that we loved the most such as Out Run or Top Gear. The game features unique art direction, with a bright and colorful palette that mixes low-poly environments and highly detailed 2D backgrounds. Controls are very straightforward and comfortable, providing an exciting arcade experience. Composed by Barry Leitch (Top Gear, Lotus and Rush series), the soundtrack is uniquely techno-inspired and energetic. What really sets Horizon Chase apart from other racing games is the blend of its arcade style and the strong sense of actual exploration and discovery that the player feels through its many and quite diverse circuits, many of them dominated by natural landscapes.
