April 29, LOS ANGELES - Gaggle Studios Inc. is proud to announce that it has closed an initial seed round of $2M from Makers Fund. Their flagship title, Goose Goose Duck is set to launch on Steam Early Access today.
Funding will allow Gaggle Studios to improve the speed and quality of their development pipeline significantly. Based in LA and Toronto, Gaggle Studios currently has several titles hosted on their platform at www.gaggle.fun. The flagship title, Goose Goose Duck, is a voice-chat integrated social deception game featuring ducks. Set to release in early access today on Steam, the game has already attracted thousands of players in just a few days through its open beta program.
Goose Goose Duck is a voice-chat integrated social deception game where players must work together to maintain their spaceship, the SS Mother Goose, during their interplanetary quest while also avoiding malicious Mallards who are out to get them.
Gaggle Studios, Inc, was founded in April 2020 by four members: CTO Simon Chu, CEO Shawn Fischtein, Technical Lead Christopher Gloyd, and Art Director Ben Gallego.
Simon and Shawn both have extensive experience building successful start-ups, ranging from mobile app development to location-based interactive entertainment.
During the onset of COVID-19, they set out to fill a gap in the video game marketplace where they saw a lack of frictionless, integrated voice and video-chat gaming. In a time where getting together was nearly impossible, it seemed only natural to refocus and bring real-life experiences safely into people’s homes. With the funding provided by Makers Fund, Gaggle Studios will grow their team to create an even more robust content creation pipeline and content delivery platform.
