Arc Games Partners with Forteller Games, the Team Behind the Beloved Narrative Companion of the Board Game, to Provide Voice Over Narration Support for the Video Game

Redwood City, CA – June 7, 2025 – In a new trailer revealed today during IGN Live, Arc Games, a leading publisher of premium and live service games, in partnership with Asmodee and Cephalofair Games, announced FROSTHAVEN, a dark fantasy tactical RPG based on the highly acclaimed board game of the same name, will be participating in Steam Next Fest: June Edition with the first-ever public demo of the game being available worldwide from June 9 to June 16. For the demo, which will include single player and online co-op multiplayer modes along with NVIDIA GeForce NOW support, Steam players from around the world will be able to see how this video game adaptation brings the best-selling board game to life in a whole new way. Additionally, players will discover how the Snapshot Games team adapted the board game experience and perfected it for PC. With this video game adaptation, all players, from newcomers to seasoned veterans, can get into the action immediately and embark on an epic adventure into the world of FROSTHAVEN.
In development from Snapshot Games, led by CEO Julian Gollop, who’s best known as the creator of X-COM, with the board game creator Isaac Childres from Cephalofair Games serving as a consultant on the project, both teams are thrilled for FROSTHAVEN to be a part of Steam Next Fest: June Edition and let even more players experience this unique and challenging tactical RPG. This spring, a Closed Beta playtest on Steam was available for select players, including fans of FROSTHAVEN and Gloomhaven, to give valuable feedback to help shape the game from the beginning of its development. This upcoming demo will be the first time that all PC players can experience FROSTHAVEN. The feedback and support we received was incredible. Fans shared how they loved our adaptation, and gave suggestions on what tweaks they’d like to see to make our video game adaptation even better. FROSTHAVEN will be an evolving adventure, and this upcoming demo will let us have even more players jump in and help us evolve the game before it launches in Early Access on PC this year.”
The first-ever demo for FROSTHAVEN via Steam will be available starting on Monday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time until Monday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. For the demo, it will have single player and online co-op multiplayer support for 2-4 players and feature a slice of what players can expect when the game launches in Early Access this year. The demo will include four unique starting character classes, tactical quests, including tutorial missions, a slew of items, and the ability for players to build their own Outpost, by constructing buildings and completing events which will lead to unlocking new game features.
This new demo will feature plenty of UI and gameplay improvements based on Closed Beta player feedback. Unlike the Beta, the demo will include voice over narration from Forteller Games, known for the beloved Narrative Companion of the board game. Arc Games and Snapshot Games are thrilled to work with Forteller in helping amplify players’ FROSTHAVEN adventure and immerse players even more in the frozen north with professional audio narration, and can’t wait for players to completely experience Forteller’s narration wizardry when the game launches in Early Access. Also, the demo and full game will have NVIDIA GeForce NOW support, so players can stream FROSTHAVEN on any device and anywhere they want!
