Munich, 10 October 2025 – BBG Entertainment is delighted to announce that BOULDER DASH® 40th Anniversary has been nominated for the prestigious TOMMI German Children's Software Award 2025 in the ‘Consoles’ category.
Over the past few weeks, the TOMMI expert jury has thoroughly reviewed around 70 exciting games and digital learning offerings in eight categories and determined its nominations. Now it's the children and young people's turn: until mid-November, they will test, evaluate and vote for their favourites in over 40 public libraries throughout Germany – because at TOMMI, the children have the final say.

BOULDER DASH® 40th Anniversary was released end of August 2025 for PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch. The game combines the classic charm of the original with modern features, fresh graphics and new challenges – ideal for families and retro fans alike.

Over 180 levels await players, including the original levels from Boulder Dash, Boulder Dash II and Boulder Dash III.
The new edition impresses with spectacular, colourful graphics and atmospheric music by video game composer Chris Hülsbeck.

A jury of journalists, educators, scientists and experts nominates the best titles in various categories.
