AlterMage full release date for PC: November 17th, 2026
Step onto the shores of AlterMage, a first-person action-platformer featuring spellblade focused combat. Embark on a harrowing journey to learn sorcery, explore labyrinthian passages within a forbidden citadel, and uncover the truth of a dark past.
AlterMage released its demo on August 28th, 2026 and will have its full release for PC on November 17th, 2026 via Steam.
Story
In ages past, an exiled sorcerer built a great citadel upon a remote island. Concealed within this fortress, the sorcerer crafted spells abhorrent to life itself. Six scions of light arose against darkness and defeated the heretic.
Now they lie long forgotten, and an ominous energy rises from the citadel once again.
Embark on a harrowing journey to explore the sprawling labyrinthian passages of the island. Set within a Magepunk world blending sorcery with technology; face arcane mechanized forces that scour trap-laden corridors. Every step may be your last as you traverse complex, dangerous environments that will challenge your spatial reasoning as often as your wits and reflexes.

- Experiment and redesign your spells using a unique spell alteration system. Fuse together different spell effects to create over one million possible combinations.
- Every step, every spell, and every jump grants experience in a corresponding skill. Enhance your physical capabilities the more you use the, and specialize in different types of elemental spells.
- Tailor your gear to fit your playstyle. Modify your spell-casting Catalyst using parts from around the island, find your perfect blade, and collect resources to purchase enhancements that compliment your abilities and enable unique builds.
