Australia, 30 July, 2026 | Indie Developer Shadow Council has announced that the post-apocalyptic mobile MMORPG, Afterglow, has been released!
Afterglow is a mobile sandbox MMORPG set in a post-apocalyptic world with a 1980s theme. Set 77 years after a global nuclear war, players take the role of a refugee who has arrived in the American Southwest region. While trying to survive, they will encounter mysterious artifacts and phenomena that have reshaped the Wasteland.
It's an MMORPG designed for busy people who can no longer commit their time to traditional MMOs but want to experience meaningful progression, deep mechanics, and social bonds. It features async mechanics, turn-based combat, skill-based progression, player-driven economy and ethical free-to-play monetization with no pay-to-win.
