Seoul - September 24, 2025 - NEXON’s anime-style RPG Blue Archive has just released the brand-new “Highlander Railroad Runaway Incident: And the Train Disappeared” update on both Steam and mobile. This update features new students, Hikari, Nozomi and Aoba, a new event story “Highlander Railroad Runaway Incident: And the Train Disappeared” and more.
In Blue Archive, the player has been appointed as an advisor to the Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E., (aka SCHALE) located in Kivotos, a massive city with numerous academies. They must venture forward to resolve the endless incidents that happen in the city while building relationships with charming anime students through RPG Action Strategy and thrilling military action gameplay.

Student Recruitment Event - Blue Archive’s recruitment event began on September 23rd, offering increased chances to recruit the new students Hikari, Nozomi and Aoba. Hikari provides support by increasing the Sonic Effectiveness of one ally, excluding herself. Additionally, if the targeted ally is able to consume extra EX Skill Cost, Hikari reduces that additional cost, enhancing overall skill efficiency. Nozomi deals heavy damage in a straight line to the targeted enemy and also damages all other enemies in the path. Her skill can be charged with up to 2 additional Costs, increasing total damage by 25% per Cost. Aoba (Distribution) is available through participation in the event story, Highlander Railroad Runaway Incident: And the Train Disappeared. Players can obtain Aoba (1★) by clearing Story – 01: Central Control Center Planning Office. The event will end on Oct. 6 at 5:59 PM PT / Oct. 7 at 1:59 AM UTC.

‘Highlander Railroad Runaway Incident: And the Train Disappeared’ Story Event - The Blue Archive ‘Highlander Railroad Runaway Incident: And the Train Disappeared’ event launched on September 23rd, featuring a story that follows students from Highlander Railroad Academy as they search for a missing train and work to complete the transportation mission. Upon completing the story and quest, players can unlock Aoba(Distribution) with special rewards. Additionally, a new minigame will be introduced as a part of the event. Players can use Highlander Stickers to access the puzzle-based railroad construction minigame, where they can earn round rewards. The event will end on Oct. 6 at 5:59 PM PT / Oct. 7 at 1:59 AM UTC.
