The game is available as a free-to-play Early Access title on both the App Lab for Meta Quest and Steam. X8 offers players a unique 5v5 battle experience, allowing gamers to customize their heroes before every round and bring strategies to life in thrilling team combat. Additionally, X8's first esports tournament will take place soon, with Virtual Athletics League (VAL) offering a $10,000 prize for the best players.

X8 is a VR multiplayer hero shooter game that offers gamers customizable loadouts of weapons, armor, items, and abilities, allowing players to equip their heroes before the battle begins. Additionally, each hero holds three special abilities and their hero-specific items offer situational advantages. Teams use an array of strategies to penetrate enemy defenses to deploy ‘The Syphon’ at specific sites on the map during an attack or deactivate it within 30 seconds using ‘The Defuser’ during defense. The team that eliminates all attackers or disrupts the deployment process to score the most points over the course of the 14-round game is declared the winner.
