São Paulo, Brazil — June 17, 2025 — Frolic Studio is excited to announce that Toni Island Adventure will be released on Steam on July 24 for PC, Linux, Steam Deck, and macOS.
Originally developed for the Game Boy Color, Toni Island Adventure is a bite-sized adventure game inspired by classics like Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Players take on the role of Toni, a pizza-loving sailor dog who wakes up shipwrecked on a strange island. To find his way home, Toni will need to help the local dogs, explore mysterious dungeons, and beat the fearsome spiritual guardians to reunite all five relics and stop the Pepe Caldera volcano threat looming over the island.
The game was designed with short, focused play sessions in mind. It’s a wholesome experience with light puzzles, cozy vibes, and a retro aesthetic that feels right at home both on old-school handhelds and modern platforms.
Pricing and Editions
The game will launch at USD 9.99 / €9.75 / £8.50 / CA$ 12.99 / R$ 34,90 / ¥ 1,200, with a 10% discount during the first week.
A Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available, which includes the original 8-bit soundtrack and a retro-style instruction and art booklet, reminiscent of old Game Boy manuals.
