In Successor, players take on the role of a Lord commanding a warband of miniature heroes across handcrafted battle boards. Battles unfold in real-time with pause, allowing players to freeze the action, plan their next moves, and execute devastating abilities with precision. Every campaign is procedurally generated, ensuring no two runs are alike. Victory unlocks new heroes and factions, but if you fail, you'll start over; however, you carry forward permanent unlocks, such as new types of weapons and heroes that expand your options for the next run.

"Successor was always designed with a tabletop-inspired aesthetic, so bringing it to VR felt like the natural next step," says Michael Rud Jakobsen, CEO and Creative Director of Playwood Project. "In VR, you can lean in, rotate the battlefield, and watch your miniature heroes clash up close. It's a living diorama where you command your figurines with your own hands; it's a perfect fit for the Quest platform."

Successor offers a foundation of rich content at launch, with more updates planned post-release. From new Lords and hero classes to additional regions, enemies, and environmental systems, Playwood Project remains committed to expanding the game alongside its community.
