TESTRONIC REPOSITIONS FOR THE FUTURE OF GAMES QA WITH MAJOR FUNDING ROUND & STRENGTHENED LEADERSHIP TEAM

New CEO Sharon Baylay-Bell focuses on innovation, talent and Centres of Excellence to support the evolving needs of clients and the wider games industry

Thursday September 11th, London, UK - Testronic, the global provider of world-class QA Testing and Localization services to the video games industry, has secured significant new investment to accelerate growth and future-proof its worldwide operations.

The announcement comes six months after the arrival of Sharon Baylay-Bell as CEO and Executive Chair. A former board director at both the BBC and Microsoft, Baylay-Bell has already reshaped the business with fresh investment from TDC, a capital partner of global investment firm KKR – whose portfolio includes industry heavyweights such as Epic Games and ByteDance (TikTok). Terms of the deal are undisclosed.

Under Baylay-Bell’s leadership, Testronic is sharpening its focus on its ‘Centres of Excellence’ located in the US, Europe and South East Asia – positioning the company to optimally support existing partners and to meet the evolving needs of developers and publishers worldwide.

The restructure underlines Testronic’s commitment to innovation, scale and industry-leading expertise across QA Testing and Localization.

It has also strengthened its leadership team, making a number of senior hires, including Samantha Williams as Chief Revenue Officer. A respected global business leader and C-Suite strategic advisor, Williams previously held a senior director global role at Meta and has been a global strategic advisor to Accenture and JAB Holding Company.

Lewis Read has been appointed as Vice President, Global Partnerships. His experience includes senior QA roles at Netflix Games, Experis and Blizzard.

Former Keywords Studios Global Marketing Director Linda Quinn joined Testronic earlier this year as Global Head of Marketing.

Elsewhere, Testronic has ramped up its operations across all sites, with some 160+ hires being made since July. Testronic in Manila, in particular, is seeing significant expansion - with a doubling of the number of testers, as well as of floorspace, expected early in 2026.

As part of the restructure, Testronic’s studios in Madrid and Belgrade have closed. In addition, the Catalis Group name has been retired. Previously the umbrella brand for both Testronic and Curve Games, the sale of Curve to Nazara Technologies earlier this year has enabled Testronic to simplify its structure.

Sharon Baylay-Bell, Testronic CEO & Executive Chair, said: “This is a pivotal moment for our company. Making changes that affect people is never easy, but these decisions are about strengthening our business for the future. We are in a very strong financial position, and this refocus allows us to invest more deeply in our Centres of Excellence in the US, Europe and South East Asia. We are recruiting across all three regions, and remain committed to innovation and state-of-the-art technology.

“We can now focus on delivering the services at which we excel – QA Testing and Localization via Testronic, and award-winning 3D and VFX Art via Secret 6. The sale of Curve Games has allowed us to do just that. It has also enabled us to streamline the business to eliminate what had been something of a complicated corporate structure.

“This is a significant stage in our company’s journey. By leveraging our core capabilities and driving innovation, we are well-positioned to create stronger, deeper client partnerships that are player-focused, client-first and outcomes-led.”
