February 6, 2026 – Solo developer Loerting is proud to announce that the playable demo for Vena, a genre-defying automation roguelike, is available starting today on Steam.
Vena combines the satisfaction of building complex resource networks with the high-stakes strategy of a roguelike deckbuilder. Players must place hexagonal tiles to feed the "Nexus"—a central core with ever-growing demands—while managing a delicate flow of resources.
Unlike traditional city builders, Vena creates a frantic, puzzle-like loop where no two runs are the same. Between phases, players roll dice to shop for new factories, converters, and perks, forcing them to adapt their strategy on the fly.
Vena Gameplay Features:

Feed the Nexus: Survive 9 intense phases by satisfying the Nexus’s escalating hunger for resources through six sprawling veins.

Roguelike Automation: Procedural generation ensures every run requires a new layout strategy.

Dice-Driven Economy: A unique shop system where you roll dice to purchase tiles. Hit a "perfect triplet" to break the economy or reroll to hunt for synergies.

Deep Progression: The full game will feature 7 distinct game modes and 5 difficulty tiers ranging from Normal to God.

Immersive Atmosphere: A bleached red-and-green pixel art palette combined with an original ethnic soundtrack designed to induce a "flow state."
