WHITE HOUSE, TN: As part of Steam Next Fest, Hero Game Co is releasing the demo for their second indie game Prose & Codes on October 1st. Explore 7 beloved literary genres—from nostalgic children’s stories to bone-chilling horror—by decrypting hand-selected excerpts from some of literature’s finest works.
“The hardest part about making Prose & Codes was not getting distracted by all the amazing books,” said Rachel Reed, one-half of the husband and wife duo at Hero Game Co. “Yet, that’s exactly what we hope our players will do—find a book that speaks to them and go read it!”
Prose & Codes makes this easy by providing spoiler-free synopses plus direct links to free e-books—courtesy of Project Gutenberg—for every single story featured. These e-books can be read in browser or downloaded as pdfs, epubs, and more.
