Overpass: Rhythm Roadtrip is coming to Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch in 2022!

SEATTLE, WA - December 7, 2021 - The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild and Studio Bean are excited to announce that they're bringing Overpass: Rhythm Roadtrip to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 and 5 in 2022! Made by the design genius behind Soundodger 1 + 2 and Choice Chamber, Overpass adds a unique perspective to the rhythm genre. Drive through pyramid-filled deserts, serene forests, and bustling urban environments to the beat of the warmly synthesized soundtrack from Makeup and Vanity Set. Customize your experience by taking different routes and using filters, colorful markers, and accessibility options to follow along with the music of your journey.

Here's what the director and main game designer Michael Molinari has to say about creating Overpass:
"The idea for Overpass was slowly formed from decades of staring out the window of a moving vehicle, listening to music, watching shapes go by. It's a sensation many of us have experienced, sometimes more often than we'd be able to recount. While that's largely where this all started, I really have to credit Michel Gondry's visionary music video for Star Guitar by The Chemical Brothers. To this day it's still one of the most mesmerizing displays of sights and sounds that truly captures what it's like when everything outside your window matches what you hear."

Features:
- Drive through a score-chasing rhythm game with a unique perspective
- Explore 8 global regions and over 30 hand-crafted tracks
- Bounce, cruise, and chill with an original synthwave soundtrack by Makeup and Vanity Set
- Navigate branching paths to design your own playlist for each adventure
- Perfect your scores or go for a marathon road trip to truly test your endurance
- Adapt your play experience by changing the music speed, input timing, marker location, and more

About The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild:
We've always been indie, and we want to give indie studios the deals they deserve. The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild was founded in 2011 and received global critical acclaim for our early titles 'The Bridge' and 'Tumblestone.' In 2019, we focused on collaborating with indie developers publishing on PC and consoles to provide opportunities on every platform available. Recently publishing 'Space Otter Charlie' and 'Cozy Grove' further expanded our library, adding adventure puzzle platformers and slice of life games to our catalog. Look forward to award-winning games 'Sail Forth' and 'Freshly Frosted' releasing from QAG soon.

About Studio Bean:
Studio Bean is an independent videogame company run by developer Michael Molinari. Its games have common themes of love, exercise experimentation in interactivity and gameplay, and are highly visual and aural in presentation. They're usually strange as well. Molinari has been creating games for over 15 years, releasing earlier titles as free Flash games online. Most of his earlier work consists of bite-sized experiments and other interesting designs for interaction. Upon gaining a BFA in Computer Animation from the Ringling College of Art + Design, Molinari's work took a more sophisticated turn, starting with a series of experimental semi-autobiographies created for game design competitions. The focus of these games was on narrative, amplified by a rich composition of color, sound, and interesting interactivity. He has also teamed up with other developers (most often Chelsea Howe) for 48-hour gamejams, including the Global GameJam and MolyJam. Studio Bean continues to push forward the possibilities of interactive entertainment, focusing above all else on a player's experience from start to finish.
