New York, New York (June 8, 2025) - Independent game development studio Muse Games is thrilled to reveal player versus player (PvP) multiplayer spaceship shooter Stars of Icarus in the PC Gaming Show 2025. Stars of Icarus is the spiritual follow up to steampunk airship shooter IP Guns of Icarus, which has garnered more than 4 million players since its release in 2012.
Stars of Icarus carries forward the franchise’s hallmark emphasis on community-centric gameplay, with Muse promising an experience that rewards teamwork and features gripping moments that keep you on the edge of your seat. The developers are currently working towards a PC release of Stars of Icarus in 2026.
Assemble your crew and take to the stars in Stars of Icarus, where team-based PvP dogfights are your key to conquering the cosmos. Hop into hand-crafted maps and engage in nail-biting team battles of 5 versus 5 players as you assert cosmic dominance in three different game modes: Team Deathmatch, Bounty, and Capture the Flag. Dodge asteroids, navigate junkyards, complex space stations and more as you seek your objective.
First, gather a committed crew of friends and strangers, then, choose from ship classes of varying agility, firepower and size. Customize your character, ship and loadout in the pre-game lobby as you prepare to wreak havoc on rival teams. Matches are designed to last around 20 minutes, during which you’ll need to work together and strategise, scout enemy positions through cosmic fog, break enemy shields and repair your own! Teamwork is essential in this game and your choices will decide whether you’ll light up the sky in a blaze of glory or the fires of defeat.
Stars of Icarus will be a premium title with players having access to all gameplay features (ships, tools, and weapons) from the very beginning. Customization options will be available from the in-game store that make you and your ship look good, without providing any competitive advantage. Muse believes in gameplay that rewards skill and teamwork, not your wallet.
