Comunicato stampa

Gateholt, a 1–4 player co-op horror game, launches on Steam on October 23.

The hook: progress and danger are the same meter. You erase the marks an evil spirit has left in a cursed place, and every mark you erase brings it closer.

Review keys: if you'd like to review or preview it, just reply and let me know how many Steam keys you need – I'm happy to send enough for a full co-op session (up to 4 players).
The keys work right away, so you can play before launch, and there's no embargo.

Quick facts:

- Release: October 23, 2026 on Steam (Windows)
- Free demo: available now on Steam
- Price: $6.99 (15% off for the first two weeks)
- Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5207010/Gateholt/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=outreach&utm_campaign=press_launch
- Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzdGjaC1JNM

Features:

- Erasing makes it worse: every mark you erase weakens the spirit's influence, and the weaker it gets, the harder it hunts you. Servants wake, and then the spirit itself goes on a rampage. There are no weapons – you run, or you hide.
- 14 kinds of purification work – scrubbing bloodstains, burning cursed objects, releasing captured souls – each needing a different tool
- Which evil spirit and servants you face stays hidden until the Gate opens, and each servant interferes in its own way
- Proximity voice chat: splitting up is faster, but the further you drift from the others, the more dangerous it gets. Solo runs are supported too

About me: I worked as a programmer at a game studio for nine years, then left to make my own game. Gateholt is that game – my first, made entirely on my own.
