BLIGHT NIGHT: THE NIGHTMARE DEEPENS - NEW BOSSES TO FIGHT AS GAME LAUNCHES THIS APRIL 29TH

The terrifying 1980s-inspired survival-horror experience filters its way through VHS static and onto Steam.

Reviving the 80s Midnight Madness aesthetic- – Blight Night, the lo-fi, synth-drenched survival-horror game, from solo developer Nick Duttweiler, is launching into full release this 29th of April 2025, on Steam.

Steeped in CRT scanlines and soaked in sinister nostalgia, Blight Night is a love letter to VHS-era horror – complete with twisted creatures, desolate towns, and mysteries that should've stayed buried. You play as Sonny Barstow, a lone survivor navigating the haunted ruins of Golden Springs, where light is fleeting, ammo is rare, and the shadows hide something worse than death.

Players can expect terrifying, powerful bosses, puzzles, and expanded areas to further unravel the chilling lore behind Golden Springs. With a demo available to play now, the full game will ramp up the tension, throw new horrors into the mix, and give players even more reasons to return to the fog-soaked streets of the West Texas wasteland.

FACE THE NIGHTMARE – AND ALL THAT COMES NEXT
  • Explore, Solve, Survive: Navigate dark, haunted ruins and search every shadow for supplies or secrets.

  • Retro Horror, Modern Fear: A third-person survival-horror adventure built to feel like a lost 80s game pulled from your uncle’s attic.

  • Fight or Flee: Enemies hit hard and never come alone. You’ll need to pick your battles with a wide selection of weapons… or you can just run like hell.

  • The Light is your lifeline: Stay in the dark too long, and your voice will never be heard again.

  • Dripping with Dread: From the distorted visuals to the synth-laced soundtrack, everything is designed to unnerve and immerse.

Developed over eight years as a passion project, Blight Night channels the spirit of survival-horror classics with a uniquely eerie aesthetic that sets it apart. This is more than a game – this is what happens when nostalgia turns rotten.

Blight Night is available to wishlist now on Steam. Clock in, light up, and prepare to face the night.
