In late July, we announced the expansion of Amazon Luna into the Prime Video app on FireTVs in the US and UK. Today, we’re excited to announce that Prime members in an additional 12 countries across Europe and North America can play Luna games inside the Prime Video app. Starting Today, Prime members with Fire TVs in Canada, France, Italy, and Spain, can discover and play games in the Prime Video app at no additional cost, and with nothing to download or purchase.
An additional expansion is planned for November in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden. Once complete, the option to access Luna through Prime Video via Fire TV will be possible across all 14 countries where Luna is available.
Prime members can access Luna by opening Prime Video on their Fire TV and navigating to the Games tab, with an evolving library of games included with Prime at no additional cost and no dedicated console or gaming PC required. Luna's library includes major titles such as STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, Hogwarts Legacy, Sonic X Shadow Generations, and Assassin's Creed Mirage, alongside popular casual games like Bluey: The Videogame, Goat Simulator, Dispatch, Wobbly Life, and more.
Accessing Luna via Prime video allows Prime members to discover games alongside movies and TV shows, as well as go deeper with their favorite franchises. For example, the latest season of Batman: Caped Crusader the animated series is streaming on Prime Video, and now with Luna players can step into the noir-drenched Gotham City in Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, all in the same app.
Luna also includes GameNight, a collection of party and social games designed to bring friends and family together around the TV, including titles such as King of Tokyo, Bowling Mayhem, Cranium Planet, Clue, Ticket to Ride, and Taboo, among others. Players can use their smartphones as controllers by scanning a QR code, making it simple for multiple players to join without additional hardware.
