iiRcade Adding Online Multi-Player Capabilities to its Home Arcade

Online arcade-style party game, BombSquad, is the first announced online enabled title added to iiRcade library of games. iiRcade has raised over $350k on Kickstarter early in its campaign.

CHICAGO, July 10, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- iiRcade the ultimate connected arcade machine for gamers of all ages to own and play their favorite retro and modern arcade games at home is adding online multi-player capabilities. The popular new gaming system has raised over $350,000 and counting on Kickstarter.

iiRcade gamers will now be able to play online multiple-player enabled games against each other. The first online supported game in iiRcade's library will be BombSquad, an explosive arcade-style party game that will be available for the first time on a home arcade system.

"We're very excited to add online play; we've had a lot of requests for this feature from our community," said Jong Shin, founder of iiRcade. "The iiRcade community has shown us tremendous support early in our Kickstarter campaign and we'd like to thank every one of our backers."

BombSquad has players jump, punch, throw, and bomb their way to victory as they compete in a plethora of mini-games including Capture-the-Flag, King-of-the-Hill, Bomber-Hockey, and of course Epic-Slow-Motion-Elimination. Players can barrage opponents from afar with precision-thrown bombs, or charge in and toss their enemies off the nearest cliff.

"I grew up with (and still have) a huge love for the arcade experience, and adapting BombSquad to capture some of that magic has long been a dream of mine," said Eric Froemling, creator of BombSquad. "I'm thrilled at the opportunity to work with the iiRcade team to make this a reality."

Over 200 licensed modern and retro games, both online and offline, will be available in the iiRcade game store at launch.

iiRcade will also come with 10 previously announced pre-loaded games:
Dragon's Lair, Beach Buggy Racing, Gunbird, Double Dragon, Snowboard Championship, Thunder Hoops, Power Balls, Maniac Square, Twin Brats and Fancy World.
iiRcade is currently live on Kickstarter with early bird specials available until August 7. The ultimate home arcade machine provides gamers with their favorite officially licensed modern and retro games. Unlike other arcade devices, iiRcade is not limited to a few pre-loaded games, new games can be purchased and downloaded via the online game store and software upgrades will be made available to the platform.
