Press release

Generation Esports and Envy Gaming Squad-Up to Enhance Esports Presence in Schools Across Texas

In case you missed the news yesterday, global community-focused esports organization and tournament platform Generation Esports (GenE) was announced as a partner to Texas-based esports company Envy Gaming.

With GenE operating programs at more than 300 Texas schools, Envy Gaming saw an opportunity to invest in future generations passionate about esports within the state. Thus, this strategic partnership was born — integrating Envy Gaming’s stable of professional esports players, coaches, and content creators into the curricula of GenE’s High School Esports League (HSEL) and Middle School Esports League (MSEL) programs. Additionally, Envy Gaming will assist with the promotion of HSEL and MSEL gaming tournaments at schools throughout Texas.

“There are more than 42 million gamers under the age of 18 in North America, compared to only 7 million traditional student athletes. Gaming is part of everyday culture for students and is an equalizer today. The jocks, the nerds, it doesn’t matter – they all play games,” said Mason Mullenioux, Co-Founder and CEO of Generation Esports. “Our programs help empower healthy competition with inclusivity and respect.”
