What have you done, Father? Arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 10

Making Port completes the console rollout of Darkania Works' noir psychological thriller with a native Nintendo Switch 2 version running at 2K resolution and a higher frame rate

Castellón de la Plana, Spain — September 2, 2026 — Independent porting and publishing studio Making Port today announced that What have you done, Father?, the psychological thriller from Romanian developer Darkania Works, will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 10, 2026. The release completes the game's console rollout, which began on June 16 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and the Windows Store.

Unlike the Nintendo Switch version, which ran on Nintendo Switch 2 through backwards compatibility, this is a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 build. Making Port rebuilt the game for the hardware to deliver 2K resolution and a higher frame rate, bringing the handheld version closer to the image quality of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S releases without touching the pacing or atmosphere of the original.

Set in a Transylvanian parish in the 1940s, What have you done, Father? puts players in the cassock of Father Mathias Marton, a young priest entangled in a forbidden affair that takes a sinister turn when a woman is found dead inside his rectory. Drawing on classic noir cinema, the game unfolds through journals, photographs and locked rooms that refuse to give up their secrets.

What is new on Nintendo Switch 2

  • Native Nintendo Switch 2 build, not a backwards-compatible port
  • 2K resolution for a sharper, cleaner image
  • Higher, more stable frame rate
  • The full narrative experience: first-person exploration, light puzzles and cinematic dialogue
  • The same expanded language support as the other console versions

Pricing and availability

What have you done, Father? launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 10, 2026 on the Nintendo eShop, priced between $10 and $15 depending on region. Making Port applies region-aware pricing across all its titles to reflect the actual economic context of each market. The game remains available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Windows Store and Steam.
