This isn’t your typical match-3 game, or your typical game at all. Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 (CRDM3), which recently debuted a playable demo during Steam Next Fest: February Edition, is an unholy cocktail of genres: match-3, survival horror, choice-driven narrative, RPG, and just plain weird. As the hapless J.J. Hardwell, players are sent to investigate a decrepit old mansion plagued by unusual dinosaur activity, only to discover the house — and themselves — are trapped inside a video game.

As a sequel to a game series that doesn't exist, complete with lore and a fictional development team, CRDM3 “commits to the bit” so hard it hurts. With its razor-sharp game development satire, CRDM3 is a bizarre, side-splitting adventure about the way creations can take on a life of their own — and the bright futures the games industry fails to even try to explore.

Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3 is now available to wishlist on Steam for PC. For more information, follow Strange Scaffold on X and BlueSky.
