Miami, FL, October 7 2025 - Ever wondered what the world would look like if the Roman Empire never fell - and instead went on to master steam technology? Nova Patria lets you peek into that alternate future - with an updated demo heading to Steam just in time for the October edition of Next Fest!

The latest upcoming colony sim from indie developer Sower Interactive and publisher Judatone Studios, Nova Patria puts you in charge of establishing a Roman colony in the New World - in a reality where the Empire has been at peace for hundreds of years. As the new governor, you’ll be in charge of designing every element of this settlement - from the position of your new cities, to the buildings and workshops in each town, to the bustling network of roads and trading routes that connect them.

To start, claim the right resources, lay the foundations of your first town and satisfy your population’s needs to quickly grow its influence. Then, research new technologies and leverage the power of steam to explore the world around you. Use steam-powered boats, vehicles, trains, and airships to establish complex supply chains, and adapt your strategy to the environment around you as you expand your influence and claim new lands in a procedurally generated world - where every map is unique.

The new demo for Nova Patria, which is already available on Steam, allows players to live through the first 7 years of their colony’s existence in the New World - with very little limitations as to what they can do or experience. While a handful of techs and production buildings won’t be available yet, players should still be able to get a good glimpse into what the game has to offer.

Nova Patria is currently scheduled to release in Q1 2026 - with more details about the game and its launch to be shared over the next few months. Commenting on the development of the game and the new demo, developer Anthony Sorise said: “It’s incredible to open Nova Patria to a wider audience with the demo. We’ve been building this world for years, and seeing players explore it, test its systems, and share feedback has been the most rewarding part of the journey. I can’t wait to see what creative strategies players discover - and how their feedback helps shape Nova Patria even further!”
