LONDON, UK– 15TH OCTOBER, 2026 – TODAY, Ubisoft announced the release of Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 11 Season 3 Operation Split Fire’s mid-season update. This update introduces the launch of Legend Division, the second major balancing update of the season and the final Ranked map rotation of Y11, and a consequent adjustment to Noor’s firepower.
Based on player feedback and gameplay data, Noor’s Horus Lance is receiving a series of targeted improvements in Y11S3.2 to help him better fill his role on the roster. With this update, the Horus Lance’s drilling time is reduced to 1.5 seconds (from 2s) across soft surfaces, ballistic shields and hard surfaces. Its Guardbreak strength on projectile impact against ballistic shield Operators is increased to 100% (from 30%), making it a stronger counterplay option in shield engagements. Equipping the Horus Lance Launcher now uses Quickdraw animations, reducing equip timings to 0.4s (from 0.9s). In addition, direct impact damage against Operators is increased to 80 (from 50), while hitbox improvements should make the gadget more accurate and consistent overall.
Legend Division releases as a new Solo queue competitive playlist above Champion rank, designed for the top 1% of players and focused on the highest level of competitive play. The season will begin with the update release on 15th October and last until end of season on 1st December. The map pool for Legend Division will be identical to the Pro League Map pool. The best Legend Division Players will be rewarded for their progress with an exclusive Profile banner, that evolves based on their leaderboard position, as well as an exclusive charm for the top 100 players of each region, that evolves based on the final ranking they achieved.
To be eligible to queue Legend Division, players must have: enabled Secure Boot and have a 2FA app enabled, reached Champion Rank in the current season, have a clearance level equal or above to level 200, reached Platinum rank or above last season, have a Level 3+ Reputation Standing. Legend Division’s leaderboard will live-update and be monitored at all times to ensure a fair and healthy competitive environment. In anticipation for the release of Legend Division, a 50,000+ account Ban Wave has gone into effect targeting account sharers, sellers or ban evaders; reinforcing Siege’s ongoing commitment to maintaining game integrity and fairness as a top priority.
Tachanka receives a switch ability to his Shumika Launcher, allowing the player to choose whether the projectile explodes on impact or after a bounce. Valkyrie receives the Glaive – 12 as a new option for her secondary weapon whilst Snake’s Soliton Radar Mk.III loses 1 precision charge (from 4 down to 3). Reduced delay for Capitão’s fire expansions, down to 0.9s (from 1s). Clash now slows enemies running away from her by 10% (up from 5%). Lastly, Osa’s deployment restrictions are reduced (Frontal: 1.1 à0.35 / Vertical: 6.25 à0.6 / Behind: 0.3 à0.005)
Gadgets are getting adjustments too, as fire and barbed wire receive changes to their damage and mechanics. Fire coming from Tachanka, Goyo, Capitão, Dokkaebi, Gas pipes and Noor will now deal 14hp of damage (up from 12), whereas Barbed wire now fully stops Ram’s BU-GI.
In addition to the mid-season balancing, the fan-favourite Halloween event Doktor’s Curse returns from 15th October to 30th November, plunging players into a haunting 5v5 Hide and Seek game mode on a modified Clubhouse map. The roster expands this year as Grim and Hibana join the Hunters while Mute lurks among the Monsters. Alongside the event comes a 33-item collection and more, featuring new Operator Bundles for Grim, Mute, and Hibana, two Weapon Skin Bundles, and an Event Signature Bundle. Players can also grab the 7200 Premier Pack: Doktor’s Curse, which includes 7200 R6 Credits, a 7-Day Renown Booster, and the exclusive M590A1 Masterpiece variant.
For this mid-season update’s Ranked Map Rotation, Skyscraper and Theme Park leave the group, as Kanal, Outback and Oregon join the pool. Based on community feedback, the Ranked Map Rotation system hasn’t resonated with players as well as expected, thus the approach will be changed. Starting Y11S4, Ranked will transition to a more stable map rotation, giving players a more consistent selection of maps from season to season.
