Patreon-funded VR vs. PC battle game ‘Davigo’ launches major update, Alpha 2; developers targeting Online Multiplayer and Quest support.

Alpha 2 features new mechanics, community-made maps, and is available immediately for Patreon backers or via free waitlist for playtesters.

VANCOUVER, BC, April 7, 2021 — VR vs. PC battle game Davigo, has launched a major update today, Alpha 2; available immediately to patrons or via free waitlist for playtesters.

Alpha 2 refines the core giant-versus-warrior gameplay seen in the Public Alpha. New features include health systems for both players and warrior flying, dodging, and shields. Also included is a new map called Kairos and the ability to build and play custom, community-made maps.

Supporting via Patreon will give immediate access to Alpha 2, and builds towards a pre-order (at $25 USD), and directly supports development. Alternatively, players can sign up to be considered as playtesters for free, which will be rolled out periodically to lucky registrants.

“Since the Public Alpha, we have focused on balancing gameplay and adding variety with new features for both the VR and PC players. We're excited to share this update and see the custom content created by our players,” says developer Robert Koch.

Subscribing on Patreon helps the developers work towards the ultimate vision of the game, which includes online multiplayer, matchmaking and Quest support. Patrons can currently play online multiplayer using Parsec and find players via the official Davigo Discord server, which has over 24,000 members. Improved art and multi-warrior gameplay are also major priorities.

“Online multiplayer would be a massive win for us. While using apps like Parsec allow users to play Davigo online, native networking will be far more user-friendly and opens up the possibility of Quest support. It’s a unique challenge given the physics-based gameplay and technical constraints of mobile VR, but one that we’ve gotten tremendous community support for.”
