On March 2, the Bungie team will play Destiny 2's Dares of Eternity during a special event live stream on Twitch. This epic occasion will conclude the Bungie Foundation’s highly successful global charitable fundraiser, Game2Give. Staring at 10 a.m. Pacific, Bungie developers Nick Ardizzone, Kristina Sontag, and Clayton Kisko will randomly match three lucky players from the community to create a six-person team. Together they will complete daring activities and have the chance to level up their rank. In addition, this unique live stream will feature color commentary and details about the Bungie Foundation’s charitable efforts from Bungie’s own Liana Ruppert and the Bungie Foundation’s Christine Edwards.
During this special two-hour live stream, players, viewers, and donors will have the opportunity to interact and win prizes! Excitement will build as one of Bungie’s Community Managers, Chris Shannon, spins the six-foot-tall prize wheel, giving players the chance to win incredible prizes such as a tour of Bungie’s new studio, SteelSeries Arctis 1 Pro headsets with The Witch Queen Edition Speaker Plates, Palladium 30th Anniversary boots, Nerf LMTD Destiny Gjallarhorn Blaster, digital deluxe and collector’s editions of The Witch Queen, Bungie Foundation prize bundles, and more!
If that wasn’t enough, there are several donation rewards, and as certain fundraising milestones are achieved, voice actor lore readings will be unlocked. There are several ways donors can earn prizes during this special event. The type of prize depends on the amount of donation made.
- $10 donation earns the Light Keepers emblem.
- $20 donation earns the Arc Propellant emblem.
- $35 donation earns the Hi-5 Heart Exotic emote.
- $50+ donation earns the Altrus Pura Mk1 Exotic ship.
- $100 donation pick a player to invert their controls for a match, with hilarious results.
- $200 donation earns the opportunity to spin the giant wheel and receive whatever prize it lands on.
- $1,000 donation receive a shout out in a future This Week at Bungie blog post on Bungie.net.
Proceeds raised will support the Bungie Foundation’s newly expanded core initiatives. The Foundation’s work is headed by its highly successful iPads for Kids program, delivered to children’s hospitals worldwide. In addition, the organization has recently added two additional core initiatives: fund global humanitarian aid and support community programs that improve inclusion, diversity, and equity.
On Thursday, February 24, the Bungie Foundation announced it would donate all proceeds from the first 48 hours of Game2Give to three humanitarian aid organizations supporting communities impacted by the conflict in Ukraine. $120,000 was raised during this period, and the Bungie Foundation will split those funds evenly to support Direct Relief, International Rescue Committee, and Voices of Children Foundation.
