1995-2025: 30 YEARS OF HISTORY
Originally conceived in the ‘90s by the talented duo Christophe Gayraud and Jean-Christophe Alessandri, Nightmare Busters is a side-scrolling shooter in the pure tradition of arcade hits. With its gigantic sprites, intense action, and beautiful 2D visuals, Nightmare Busters had all the ingredients to become a run’n gun reference on the Super Nintendo. After months of development and a planned release in 1995, the game was sadly canceled — much to the disappointment of fans at the time. 30 years later, Pix’n Love Games and Aurora Game Studio are resurrecting this forgotten gem in the form of a brand-new cartridge edition for the SNES!
NIGHTMARE BUSTERS: THE ULTIMATE VERSION
A true tribute to the original game and to all SNES enthusiasts, Nightmare Busters has been given a new lease of life in a definitive version featuring numerous improvements:
- Critical bug fixes
- Optimized 60Hz mode (US/NTSC versions)
- Optimized 50Hz mode (PAL version)
- Stereo sound enabled by default
- All-new game modes
In honor of the 1990s’ spirit, Nightmare Busters will be available in three versions: American, European and Japanese.
