Little Big Adventure (Twinsen) engine source code is going Open Source

The studio [2.21] released the original engine source code of LBA 1&2.​​​​​​​

Paris, France - October 27th, 2021 - [2.21], the studio behind the new Little Big Adventure games, released the original engine source code of Little Big Adventure 1&2 on Github.
 

“Our objective is to preserve those pieces of technical mastery and true groundbreaking vision” says Gwenaëlle Gourevich, the CTO of the company. “We also want to give back to the LBA community who kept cheering on the games during all those years”.
 

She finished with an open statement for the future: "I'd like to invite all fans to keep expressing their passion for the game through different means. We're especially excited about bringing modding capabilities in the future!”
 

[2.21] took this opportunity to open their official Discord server where LBA and Time Commando fans can gather around the studio projects.

About Little Big Adventure (Twinsen)

 

Little Big Adventure (also known as Relentless: Twinsen’s Adventure) is an action-adventure game first released in 1994 on PC, then on PSX. The sequel Little Big Adventure 2 (also known as Twinsen’s Odyssey) was released in 1997. Both games were hits and the studio behind the games were bought by Sega.

You play as Twinsen, an anti-hero, heir to a strange prophecy, that will travel the galaxy and fight against the evil Dr. Funfrock.
