Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has announced that Season 8 of its asymmetrical multiplayer game, DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS, is officially live. The latest free update to the game introduces Golden Frieza as a new playable form for Raiders and the new “Ultra Instinct” Transphere. DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS is available now on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC via STEAM® and is compatible with PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. In Season 8, Raiders are provided with a new form for Frieza and survivors can access a new Transphere. In addition to Frieza’s four forms already available, Raiders now have access to a new and nefarious unlockable form, Golden Frieza. In this state, players gain increased movement speed but at the expense of their health, enhancing their hunting and destroying prowess. Existing active techniques such as active skills and Ki Blasts will also be modified while playing as Golden Frieza, allowing new combat possibilities during battle. To help aid Survivors in their fight against the enemy, the “Ultra Instinct” Transphere enables players to unleash a powerful attack on a locked-on target or charge forward in the camera's direction if no enemies are nearby. Additionally, Survivors can activate Dragon Change briefly, allowing them to perform special attacks.

DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that pits seven Survivors, regular civilians trapped in a “Temporal Seam,” against a Raider, one of the famous rivals from the DRAGON BALL universe. The Survivors will have to team up to escape their foe and return to the safety of their world and timeline. The game shares the same universe as DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE and contains features linking DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 and DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS.
