Formula E and Gameloft Launch the GEN3 Evo in Asphalt Legends Unite!

Experience the thrill of the GEN3 Evo, the world-fastest accelerating FIA single-seater, with special in-game events, culminating in a real-life showcase at the Formula E Season 11 Finals.

PARIS, FRANCE – July 8th, 2025 - Gameloft, a leader in the development and publishing of multiplatform games, and Formula E, the pinnacle of electric motorsport, today announced the official launch of the GEN3 Evo race car in Asphalt Legends Unite. This marks the first-time players can virtually get behind the wheel of the fastest accelerating and most efficient single-seater race car in the world – all within the world’s largest multi-platform racing game.
 

From May 29 to June 11, over 593,000 unique participants across all platforms and regions took part in an electrifying Time-Limited Event focused exclusively on the GEN3 Evo, choosing one of four real-life Formula E teams to support: Jaguar TCS Racing, TAG Heuer Porsche, Andretti Formula E, and Nissan Formula E. The top 100 fastest players were analyzed, and Andretti emerged as the most-used team among them—securing their place as the winner of the first Time-Limited Event.
 

Now, from July 10 to July 24, players will enter a high-stakes Grand Prix event, designed as a “play-to-unlock” challenge. After a training phase, racers will compete in four qualifying rounds. Participants will be grouped by similar lap times in heats of 20, and the fastest drivers in each group will unlock the coveted GEN3 Evo for their in-game garage—complete with its exclusive Championship Livery.
 

Formula E debuted the GEN3 Evo during season 11 - a leap in electric racing technology that combines blistering performance, cutting-edge sustainability, and unparalleled efficiency. The GEN3 Evo has set a new benchmark as the fastest-accelerating FIA single-seater, rocketing from 0-60 mph in an astonishing 1.82 seconds - 30% quicker than current Formula 1 cars. This feat underscores Formula E’s unwavering commitment to driving innovation while integrating sustainability through the car, from recycled carbon fiber in the chassis to 38% sustainable materials in its tires.
 

The celebration continues with a final Time-Limited Event from July 24 to July 30, themed around the Andretti Formula E team, the winner of the initial one. This event will reward all participants with Andretti’s livery as a free prize. Moreover, this finale will run in parallel with the Formula E Season 11 Finale in London, where attendees will be able to experience Asphalt Legends Unite hands-on in the Formula E Gaming Arena on July 26-27, available to play for free.
 

These events highlight the joint commitment of Formula E and Gameloft to innovation, worldwide fan engagement, and bringing electrifying racing experiences to life both in-game and on the track.
